Slightly more about each film - 8th March

Above The Noise (5 mins)

Above The Noise is a documentary short that explores how athlete Maja Kuczynska uses her sport to escape the chaos of the modern world.

And yet, I remain (8 mins)

Caleb lost his leg to a great white shark and returned to the ocean a few weeks later.

This short film follows him as he slows down to process his trauma, while learning to free dive, an immersive place in the brine where you start to see things differently.

Desert Wings (3.5mins)

Paramotoring is a niche, largely undocumented, and little-known sport. This piece brings it to light in a rightfully epic way. We shot for 6 days total, with multiple paramotor pilots around the southwest region of the United States, highlighting some of the most dramatic desert landscapes.

Driving Sweep (9 mins)

Few river guides ever get the chance to drive Idaho's Iconic sweep boat. Driving Sweep follows Katie Veteto as she learns how to drive sweep down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. She's learned the rapids and the river. Now she learns to drive a 4,000lbs sweep down steep rocky rapids.

Leo & Chester (8mins)

Leo, a sought-after rock star with a promising career, turns his back on the industry to pursue a life on the land with a herd of buffalo.

On, In & Under the Sava ( 5mins)

Armed with a raft, snorkels and flippers, four friends drift down Slovenia’s Sava River with one mission: find the elusive finned-monsters that dwell in the deep in order to help protect the river from dams.

Soundscape (14 mins)

Soundscape shares the sightless experience of climbing a mountain via echo location, touch and imagination.

Soundscape features Erik Weihenmayer, a global adventure athlete and author who is fully blind, as he ascends a massive alpine rock face deep in the Sierra Nevada. Using expert camera work and emotive, novel animation to bring to life a concept by adaptive climbing pioneer Timmy ONeill, the film is a surprising and soulful adventure.

The Dukha (8 mins)

In the remote taiga of northern Mongolia live the Dukha, one of the last groups of nomadic reindeer herders in the world. Tuvshuu is five years old. He and his sisters help with their family's herd at the summer camp, where there are cool winds and plenty of grass. Their way of life and knowledge of reindeer has been passed down for millennia. With less than 40 Dukha families left in the world, Tuvshuu will have some big decisions ahead.

The Nomad  (10 mins)

In the world of professional mountain biking, Cory Wallace is an enigma. While most athletes will find a base to curate measured and well-planned training programs over a year, Cory chooses less travelled destinations like Guatemala and Nepal to hone his skills and prioritizes the importance of adventure and life experiences. He immerses himself into the culture and people that encapsulate these countries and in turn, finds that the bicycle is a way to connect to these cultures, no matter the language barrier.

The Rhythm of One (18 mins)

The world of mountain unicycling is not so different from those of skiing, climbing, or other adventure sports, yet you’ve probably never heard of it. The Rhythm of One is a portrait of Canadian rider Ryan Kremsater and the evolution of his riding as he strives to push the envelope of mountain unicycling.
Despite several big falls, he demonstrates that unicycles have a valuable perspective to bring to the table.

Ryan returns to the moody British Columbia forests of his youth, where he builds his own stunts, taking the first step toward creating a uniquely unicycle trail.

The Summit Within (13mins)

A group of international wounded, injured and sick military veterans attempt to climb a 4000+m mountain peak in Colorado, using nature as a tool for healing from the physical, mental, and emotional challenges faced by veterans and service personnel. Their goal is not only to summit the physical mountains but journey towards the summits they face within themselves.
